aint that the truth. my cheapo buddy got some half assed lawyer who didnt realize the guy who he bought his apt from had taken out a loan and rolled the balance of it on to the price of the apt to pay for a shared maintenance cost of improvements to the building that it is in (new roof, renovations in the shared entranceway and lobby, etc...)
he never disclosed that this was actually going towards that loan and now he's trying to chase this guy down with another lawyer.
That sounds like the fault of the title company as well as his attorney.
