back up, ensures you can revert in case of emergency. in this case loss of images.

I actually have most of them, at least through the ones that were uploaded by this time last week.

I had forgotten about the backup I did from then.

I am in the process of uploading them.

so you didnt do a proper back up of the file system before you restored the board after they upgraded the database?

Nope... the files weren't as important as the database.

I did backup the database though. I do that every other day.
