I have lost faith in the justice system. - Is common sense outlawed?

It is still your fault you hit him. Nothing about your story makes sense. We all know the other driver was wrong and should have gotten a ticket and he is an Asshole for leaving his kid in the car, but you should have not hit him. None of that matters. You were not paying attention and you hit him. That is all the insurance company needs to know. People park in fire lanes all the time, while leaving somone in the car, but I don't see other cars plowing into them.

The justice system works just fine

If a black guy can saythis you have absolutely no right to bitch and moan. You are lucky you did not get a broomstick shoved up your ass.
