Myspace encourages people to see each other, meet & be pals - message boards dont require this, but it happens occassionally.

People who use myspace to make friends or to get laid would be better off unplugging & going out to bars & interacting with real people.

myspace is cost effective you don't have to pay for drinks and you can smoke there (even though you shouldn't in front of the computer).
