I would have enjoyed the HBK vs HHH match more if they hadn't faced off for 3 straight PPV's. I loved the match because just seeing HBK in the ring is enough for me, it brings back a nostalgia I guess but I can't and won't call the match great. It had its moments but even think back to HHH and Foley in the Hell in the cell, except for a few highlight clip moments the match dragged on, HHH is great and dedicated to the sport but he is a egomaniac beyond belief. HHH will always have the hatred fester inside him when he was pushed down to working basically mid cards and dark matches while HBK went on to rule in the WWF even though he was involved in the whole MSG fiasco. Ross let life imitate art when he said "HHH is like a junkie who needs to have the title". He also needs to be constantly on top, even Austin who was also a cry baby when it came to working with people would step aside for others to get the main event spots and work mid cards if need be.
The Rock for all the talk of his ego, Rocky jobbed probably more than any main event caliber star I could think of besides Foley. Rock Jobbed for Austin in 2 Wrestlemanias, he jobbed for Hunter numerous times, he lost twice as many matches than he won in 2000 and 2001. He would go without the title for enormous gaps of time by todays standards of 2-3 month title reigns. Hunter was great and was "the game" up until people started telling him how great he was and he's basically bought into the hype now.
The most constant and best worker they have today is Angle bar none. Angle can work the mike better than HHH, he has more charisma, plus he is one Hell of a wrestler (duh). Tell me you don't get goosebumps when Angle does and Moonsault, it's like a work of art.
HHH strives on having a good counter part in the show, he was great when he was surrounded by The Rock, Austin, & Foley. But now that everyone is gone, even Taker he is surrounded by almost icons instead of real icons. HBK doesn't wanna be the top man anymore, he is happy just wrestling. Steiner can be a top man in RAW but like Sir O said, he ain't getting the title till he proves he can combat injury for more than one match. Raw is in desperate need of a Rock or Austin to fill that main event spot, their mid card is fine.
