americans are a notoriously indulgent culture. we have more fat fucks in america than any country in the world.

while i agree with most of what galt said about legalizing drugs, i think americans are way too irresponsible compared to other countries that have done the same and lowered crime rates, to be trusted.

It's that thought that creates the all-powerful parent mentality government that everyone seems to bitch about.

"I can make smart rational decisions, but everyone else needs to be legislated and told what to do."

i don't think the government should make decisions for us, i just dont have much faith in overindulgent american culture for being able to be responsible enough to handle it.

dont get me wrong, i love this country, but to say we aren't a bunch of slobs compared to most of the world is disingenuous.

as for hoon, why would you assume that i dont think bush does enough to take care of the poor? i think the welfare system is what keep people poor for the most part, as they become dependent on the teat of the government and never have any incentive to pull themselves up by their bootstraps. there are more opportunities to become successful in this country than anywhere in the world that the aforementioned slobs fail to take advantage of.

It's people like me that are trying to change the anti-American trend that's so popular in the world right now.
