It's a diabolical plot to make money. You can buy a place there for $65 a square foot. This is a 4 family duplex apartment. All brand new.
And deveopers there don't understand pricing strategy. There is a new development being built that has all the lots already spec'd out. The lots on the sides are 8,400 SQ ft, and the corner lots are 10,500 SQ ft, and THEY ARE CORNER LOTS. But it will cost me the exact same to have them build on the corner lot - which means each of the 4 units will have 500 more sq ft of backyard - basically quadruple the size - which will mean I can probably get an extra $200-$300 a month in rent (or increase my occupancy rate) and I don't have to spend an extra nickel to do so.
And if you had any basis in literature, the punchline for your joke would have been "Galt's Gulch"
