Welcome to the wonderful world of apathy. It's really the only possible, rational way to live these days.
On my way to lunch today I saw a nig trying to break into a car with a coat hanger. In the middle of the afternoon. In broad daylight. Needless to say, I just walked by and did nothing. It's really none of my business. For all I know it could be his car and he locked himself out. Or maybe he was trying to steal somebody else's car. Whatever the case may be, it has no effect whatsoever on my life. If it were my car he was breaking into, I wouldn't expect some stranger to try and stop him or even question him. I'd expect the same apathy.
