Digital camera's and videocameras - Help me choose

I bought my parents the Sony a couple of years ago for their wedding anniversary. Excellent camera with x380 zoom, 2 nightvision settings, etc. Easy to connect to the TV or the computer with both RGB and S-Video connectors.
