Why don't you take it one more step and do what the Doors board mods did when I took a stand they disliked -- delete my identity, then post that I had a temper tantrum and quit my modship and quit the board, covering up the fact that they summarily deleted my account without warning.
That was an especially excellent scandal that is still lied about in Doors board circles. And it was all over the decision one mod made to ban a member she found annoyingf. The member had done nothing wrong, but had irked her and a few other people, so they banned her IP.
At the same time, there was a guy posting there that this mod was flirty with. He was a foul asshole to absolutely everyone but her, blatantly flaunted and openly broke posted rules which this mod was supposely ENFORCING when she decided to ban the annoying girl.
I treated this mod to the treatment her little boyfriend gave to other members in the mod forum, and refused to allow the banning of the simple annoying girl to stand.
They banded together, said that the mod I was pissed at had been there long enough to do as she liked, that I was going to have to toe THEIR line, not the posted rules line, if I wanted to remain a mod.
I refused.
Splattterpunk was immediately wiped out, I was replaced in ONE DAY, and the rest of the mods lied openly to the entire board about what had happened.
I never returned to the board, and still have not. I hear it has since undergone total anarchy and been deleted in part because of what happened to me there.
Way to go, CDIH! You'll be as great as The Doors Board yet.
