DGW, as I explained previously, juror selection is based on cross referenced lists from multiple sources. You must be one of the lucky folks that his name spelled just different enough on 2 or more of these source's data bases.
If I remember correctly, once you have served (whether you actually sat on a jury or you were excused) you are then exempt from jury duty for three years. So, if you're being called every year... you shouldn't have too much trouble getting out of it.
I was called while away in college. I was obviously exempt because I was an out of state full time student. But, I was then recalled every year until I graduated. So, if you get out of it... you don't necessarily go to the bottom of the pile.
