Ok, just something I whipped up tonight, who cares what you think, I'll write what I like
A lighthouse ashore, ‘cross a sea of faces,
A blazing new hope fills the dark places.
A chance for salvation, spirits renewed,
The ship comes about, to a course that is true.
The journey’s been long, many trials confronted,
Though some feelings of joy, mostly endings unwanted.
Lonely and dark, bitter and chill,
So many times, near loss of will.
But that tower burns bright, emotions run high
As its fiery hue sears the night sky.
It calls through the dark, and with new found zeal,
The ship screams forward, gloom flees the keel.
Doubt sets in, is this all a charade?
For evils long done, a price to be paid?
It all seems too real, too good, too right,
But the ship touches ground, it’s too late for flight.
The chance must be taken to bask in the glow,
Or suffer the agony to die and not know.
Will bad feelings end, will that beacon of light
Bring overdue dawn to this cruel endless night?
