I have a strange idea. Can "realization" be attained on an individual basis? There are certain psycological effects associated with group activities. Whether they're ball games, picnics, religious ceromonies, orgies or whatever. I for one "feel" differently in group settings. It might just be me but being around a large number of people who all share a common goal, idea, pleasure, etc. brings with it an "energy" that is difficult to put into words. What if the global population were to just stop simultaneously whatever they're daily activities might be and focus on the questions each of us as individuals struggle with occassionally such as what is real, why are we here, and so on? What if we all looked towards the sky and shouted into the heavens, "OK we've had enough. What's the deal?" Would the sky open up with God saying, "Ok game over. You win."? Probably not. We'd all just look like a bunch of assholes.
