Asking "why" is good because then it inspires someone to get the balls to ask "how" and start doing experiments and things to determine "how" and then later someone says "why" to the currently accepted "how" and it is disproved and someone goes and finds a different "how". That's how science progresses in our society. A question is asked someone finds an answer and then the answer is questioned.
