Quote:Which leads me to another religious-related question. Why why why is it frowned upon in religion to enjoy something. I can understand moderation, but, I don't understand the desire to inflict upon oneself low self esteem and if I enjoy something I should feel guilty about it. Am I just being narrow-minded about this?According to Nietzsche religion came from the weak so because the weak, pre-religion were refused things while the pre-religion strong were able to get all they wanted, not having things became a cornerstone of religion. Because you can't get goods or power, you make it that getting goods and power corrupts your soul and makes you bad so the reason why religion frowns upon pleasure is because releigion was created by people who couldn't get pleasure so pleasure becomes bad for you.
Nietzsche is teh rule.
