Quote:Or are you just too damn lazy?Wow, Maynard calling a black man lazy. Who didn't see that coming? And you missed my new favorite choice. Indian. In the UK, Indian restaraunts are like pizzaria's in the U.S. Can't go two blocks without finding another one.

Actually, they're very clean and, if you go into the good ones, the food is excellent. If you go into the bad ones, it's like fast food. Completely unrelated to cab drivers.
I've had Indian for lunch in NY, but it's even better over here for some reason. If you've never tried it, order the Buttered Chicken with rice and Nan (a type of flat bread). It's chunks of chicken (like you get for chinese food) covered in a yellow sauce that looks like mustard but tastes like butter with spices in it. And Tandori Chicken kicks ass. It's cooked on a scewer in a brick oven. Comes out red from the seasoning. There's also an excellent lamb dish I can't remember the name of. Spicy and non-spicy items on the menu. If you want a good one in NYC, go to 6th Avenue and Broome Street in Soho. Place called Kahari.

no, thanks. I'll stick to my americanized foods. I spent years smelling that stank-ass cooking from my neighbors. I'm not going to purposely go into a place to ingest that smell or its origin.

It's flat bread, bean curd, and curry. It fuckin' sucks. The people on "Survivor" eat better than Indian cuisine.

it's nice to know that the educators of today are as closed minded as always.

Closed minded? I at least tried it before making my judgement call. I tried to stomach humus and some sort of spiced chicken pita looking thing with a gooey yellow sauce drizzled over it....and it sucked.
And what the fuck do the British know about good cooking anyway? Bubble and Squeak? Bangers and Mash? Toad in the hole? Thanks for the great contributions to world cuisine....chaps. |
