how are you going to say that his team 'can't possibly finish higher then 5th'. That is what people talking out of their ass say. How the hell do you know that every singler person on your "awesome" team won't have major injuries and everyone on dig's team will make the pro bowl. This isn't stocks and bonds so don't run around here like you are an all knowing clairvoiant
No, there is no statistical retort to 'you can't really predict football'. You can evaluate talent that you want to draft and put together the perfect team based on last season's stats but that doesnt mean you are going to go anywhere.
actually, much like Jacksonville and Minnesota's D this year, Carolina and NE's defense last year were expected to be very solid for fantasy purposes.
And Delhomme wasn't that great last year, so if you'd picked Delhomme as your starting QB last year, yes I would have laughed at you.
Onto the more pressing issue of how I can say he won't finish better than fifth. 1. His RBs and most of the other teams in the league will double his RB output. 2. When Duante and Moss do well, he'll destroy others in his league. When they don't (which about 40% of the time last year -- during great years) he'll have about 15-20 points from his top two picks, and it will make him lose a fair amount of games. He'll probably have decent point totals, but there will just be too many weeks when Duante and Moss don't carry him. Therefore, I say 5th
but then again I also beat up Larry Fitzgerald pretty good when he played for Valley Forge Military Academy. I think I only tackled him 4 times that I remember. And he wasn't even the best WR on his team that year
yea the only difference between where they are playing and where I am playing is that they make millions of dollars and I only get half my tuition paid for
