NBC will revive ALF, the furry star of its 1980s alien sitcom, as part of a 75th anniversary special this spring, TV Guide Online reported. The New York Daily News, meanwhile, reported that ALF may also host his own talk show, according to TV Guide.

The cat-eating furball will be back.

And a bonus to the first person who remember what Alf stood for and what his real name was.

Ever see the Saturday morning cartoon about Alf's life on Melmack (I didn't remember that) before crashing on earth? They never called him Alf in the cartoon. They called him by his real name, which was revealed in the live show.

Didn't they try a project ALF tv movie a few years back without Norm's boss but with Martin Sheen pre-West Wing? And I dont' know about you but I'm much prefer a Small Wonder update to an ALF return.

And besides, everyone knows that ALF has been back...in pog form.
