I heard magnolia was really really bad.

Magnolia wasn't bad. A few of the story lines weren't that great (Thomas C Reilly's and William Macy's were especially lame), but Tom Cruise's was awesome, the little kids in the TV show were funny, and the frog thing was done well. It was also interesting how it wasn't like Pulp Fiction with 4 different stories, but all the different vignettes tie into one story.
But the movie was over 3 hours long and could have been cut down by at least 30 minutes just by taking out or shortening 50 unnecessary 30-second zoom ins for nearly every shot. The song they all sang was a dumb. I own it. 2 1/2 stars

You should totally spend the $1,800 to make that happen.
Or you could just lie!

Only an unprincipled infidel would lie about their dvd collection

I own this dvd, and I think it's a good movie. Not great, good. I liked the John C Reily storyline, only in terms of the coked out chick he was trying to get in the pants of. I thought Tom Cruise was awesome in this, and it helps that he's not the lead character, but also you can't really have a lead when you have 10 different point of views in one movie. |
