Not much news affects me these days. Mostly its just cyclical negative crap that is either commercialized, partisan, both or just plain drivel. Whether it's Aniston/Vaughn breaking up, or Iraq still sucking...I just pay it no mind.
But this story really bothered me.

I found myself constantly going back to Cnet.com for updates on it. I had known him through his product reviews since I do use cnet quite often. He was also on TechTV (now defunct).
When I read he died, it actually made me feel bad. So rare these days. I'm not sure if it's the fact I'm getting married, or simply b/c its such a conundrum of a situation to make a decision like he did. But something about it truly niggles at me still b/c would would you do if you were him? Would you have left to find help or stayed (keep in mind he was already stuck there 9 days).
