If anyone wants to read Dante I suggest you get a copy with liner notes because the references are way out of people's leagues sometimes. You'll need because Dante Alghieri references greek legends and 14th-century florentine politics, etc.
My version is the Portable Dante, it has all of the Divine Comedy , and La Vita Nuova. Definitely get a copy with liner notes or else the novel won't mean as much.
