The retard needs help - computer all effed up

My wife needed to get into WORD today. Wouldn't work. Locked up the computer. Pressed alt ctrl del and up popped a window system resources dangerously low. Scanned with Nortons, same shit. Computer is slow as shit and I need Word to work. Any ideas. Tried GoBack. No good on that

you may have way too many things running in the background

get more memory and stop useless programs from running.

Nope, something about Normal.dot that messes up WORD.

run msconfig, go to startup, remove any applications that load up on startup that you don't need. restart pc, try again.
