It's one of those games that suck you in because they're hard enough, but then get fast as fuck and you're like WHOA!

In Kaboom, you had a burglar-looking character at the top of the screen and a cop guy at the bottom. Instead of eggs, the burglar would drop bombs which you had to catch. I used to love that game. You start out following the eggs down with your eyes and then as it gets faster and faster, you just had to focus your eyes in the center of the screen and just fucking go with it. It was this pure zen moment. It's great.

ahhh yes the old atari 2600 days.....the egg catching game is the exact same shit with a different look to it.

Must have been thinking of that one where the cop had to chase that burglar to the top floor of that mall jumping over shopping carts along the way. Either way, Kaboom! ruled.

keystone capers was fun.


if you get the activision classics compilation for the ps2 you'll find a shitload of those games crammed in it

I wouldn't go far as to narrow one game down to my favorite. There are a lot of quality games for Atari.

Donkey Kong Jr was pretty fucking sweet.

How can you even compare it to the greatness that is Pitfall?

Pitfall was a side scrolling adventure game, you can't compare a Space Invaders rip off to it.
