Hmmmmmm, what can I say about this thread...?

Well, I was in on this site from the beginning, and I know how Sean feels about it. This site is his baby, and it will be a success. Sean and I have our differences, but I can tell you one thing about him, he stands by his convictions.

This site is great for one reason, it stands on its own. There is no advertising. You have to be a member before you can even view the board, let alone post. That in and of itself is a testament to you all. This board has grown in leaps and bounds since its inception. All the while, oa.com has fallen by the wayside.

Some of you may remember that I once said, "the board is nothing without its members". Froy mocked this, as did many of his mods. But, look at you all now. The sole reason for the success of this site is its members and its owner's ability to "butt the fuck out".

Now, although I may not think that this board is perfect, it's definitely a cut above oa.com. This place beckons to the oa.com of old, but remains decidely different.

Some of you may question the validity of my comments, but chew on this... I left this board mainly because I did not agree with what was going on. I could've fought it, like I always do, but I thought that maybe I didn't have all of the answers. When the opportunity arose to come back, I jumped at it. The members that make up this board are, for the most part, the members that kept me coming back to oa.com. Not for popularity, nor for hopes of moderatorship, but for the content of the posts.

I'm glad to be back, and I'm glad that Sean's board has worked out so well. It may not be my ideal configuration of a message board, but "the grass is always greener".

I can tell you this, Sean has gone through a lot to keep this place running. And, he deserves a hell of a lot of recognition for it. So to you Sean, I tip my beer, and acknowledge your accomplishment here. Great job, and keep up the good work.

Even though I'm still trying to get the feel of this place. I like it here. Theres no tools and spammers to deal with and almost everyone is cool. Its such as damn shame that oa.com will soon be no more. (If froy's plans come into play.) For two years I've seen the place at its best and at its worst. Its no suprise that froy is doing this. Being associated with the show just isn't interesting anymore to him. Its sucks that pettiness and other motives led to its downfall.

I know I'm going to get heat for this. But when is our first (bang) party? Big Grin

As much as many of you think I don't like you, and don't care what you do or say, that isn't true. Everyone that comes to me, gets helped as quickly as possible. I haven't been short with anyone. I actually have massive amounts of patience for silly shit. I have to in my field, computer technical support. I deal with fucking retards every day who forgot to plug in their computer, or spilled a glass of water in it. And they wonder why shit doesn't work. The amount of incompetence that I get to deal with every day is astounding. So coming here and helping people is a blessing, because for the most part, all of you are intelligent, and can understand when someone is trying to help you and explain things to you.

For those of you that don't like me. Sorry. You will meet MANY MANY people in your life. You can't like them all. One thing that I can say, and I think that you can all say, is that I don't use my power to get over on people. If so, please IM or PM me and let me know what you really think. As much as people say that I'm a power monger, I think I'm the furthest thing from it. I've stated a million times in that past that that is one thing that bothered me about oa.com. I didn't like the way that some of the mods acted, and were looked at by the members. So I've tried to be the opposite of that. I hope I've succeeded. Again, if you don't think so, please contact me because I don't want this to turn into a bitch session about me. I really hope that I have been a part in making this site what it is now, and I hope to continue to take it to higher levels. This site is nothing without the members. And I am a member as well as a moderator.

I truly think the people here are amazing, and I laugh my ass off every day I come here. This community we've built really is a big part of my life, as I know it is for some of you too. Some of my best friends have been made through this site, and countless other friends as well. Just about every day on here, I talk to someone that I haven't really talked to before and build a relationship with them. You guys are really pretty amazing (except Keyser), and I thank you for that.

Something that this site has tried to do from the start, and now prides itself on, is that fact that what YOU say, counts. We hold votes for things, we ask you opinions, and we let you in on what's going on. Does Sean have to do all of this? hell no. But he want's to, because it's OUR site, not just Seans. And he knows that.

Once again, thank you Sean for coming up with this vision of a better message board, and thank all of you for making this site kick ass.

Also people please don't use double quotes. I just had to edit one of Lent's post in eu because it fucks up the page when you use them. Sean has a lot on his hands and this is just one on the list of many things he has to work his for. So in the meantime please refrain from this. It puts a weird black thing at the bottom of the page so try not to do it.
