What pisses me off most about the whole threesome thing is that every time the subject comes up I am reminded of the once in a lifetime chance I had and blew it.

Was at a party after a junior prom. Got way too effin drunk. Two girls that barely knew and, would very likely never see again (and, I didn't) asked me to join them. The common theme in all the replies here is that it's a nice idea, but anyone with a significant other seems to have an air of doubt as to how they would react in seeing said significant other with someone else. The only real way to try this and get the most out of it would be to have it with two people that you have no real emotional ties to (like a fuck-buddy, something along those lines). I know it sounds harsh, but it's the only way to keep everyone's emotions from running wild. Of course if you're in a relationship that's strong enough to look past the emotions (i.e. secure in your feelings for each other) then it shouldn't be a problem really. Most people aren't like this however, so threesomes tend to be more problematic than good.

Speaking for myself, the wife has expressed an air of bi-curiousity, and I've encouraged it (surprise), but not to the point of forcing it - that's a real bad way to go. Of course I mentioned the threesome (since her curiousity was relegated to a one-on-one fantasy) and she said she would be extremely jealous of seeing me with someone else right there. On the flip side, I'd have no problem with it so long as I approved and was confortable with the other person.

If you get the cance to try it then please do, by all means - just be sure to think of each other's feelings before you actually "dive in".

the problem i have with threesomes is jealousy. i've been with women before, and thats cool, and i enjoyed the threesome i was in, however it gets tricky with a threesome. I worry that my significant other or myself will get hurt or fall for the other person involved. I do look forward to having another threesome someday, but only after myself and my significant other have agreed on what will go on.

With that being said, I've always been interested in having one. I almost had a threesome with my ex boyfriend and another guy from work (both of them on me no man on man touching) but it never happened. I'm in the same boat with just about everyone here.

A threesome is something that looks great on paper, but in practice is just full of problems.

I know no matter how much my girlfriend says it's OK and that she doesn't mind, there would be some jealousy and resentment afterward. I don't know what that says about the strength of our relationship, but I know there would only be issues down the road if we introduced a friend into bed.
