Hanger-On Registered: Jul. 01 | For all the hype. We have heard this same CRAP before. MAKE NO MISTAKE! We have a history of NOT getting the bad guy. Sadaam Hussien, the guy we vowed to destroy, is still alive and living quite well. Fidel Castro, is also alive, thanks to our half-assed attempt to get rid of him. He is not only still alive, but he still has his old job!! Moammar Gadhafi? I am not sure, but i do not think he is dead. We got his infant daughter but not him. He is chillin. Prolly had another kid. Mussolini was executed by his own country and Hitler killed himself. The list goes on and on. The US has a habit of not getting the bad guy. On Friday, February 26, 1993, a bomb exploded in the underground garage of One World Trade Center. They caught the terrorists who did it. They are prolly still alive as well. The cops told them, "Ha! You didnt succeed in bringing it down". Their reply? "Not this time" This message was edited by slickvic on 9-17-01 @ 9:44 PM | ||||

He is being careful and gathering our allies as well as pin pointing our enemies. We cannot act in haste or we will look just as bad....have faith in our president...I know he won't fail us...after all, he has children that he wants to protect from evil. Psychopath Registered: Aug. 01 | Vic, we cant just go in and kill who ever we want. Maybe Hitler is an exception but when it comes to war, the UN laws say you must complete your mission then back out. With Desert Storm we went in, bombed the hell out of Iraq until they left Kuwait and then we left. The backlash from around the world would also be bad if we always assisnated presidents of other nations. Besides, did you ever read about Suddams son who will take over if he dies? He has the potential to be worse, he hates america as much, in not more than bin Laden. We did pave the path for Milosevich to get romoved from his position, that is a recent win. We will hunt, seek and destroy Bin Laden and all that support terrorisim. This will not be a sterile war. Many will die and we will be victorious. Not in a week, a month or a year. We are in this for the long haul. I have never been a Bush supporter. But on September 11th, I stand 100% behind the President of the country that I love. Get a grip on reality, study history, enlist if you can and defend freedom. Grow up and shut up! Before you meet Allah, get ready to meet some good old American whoop ass. Vic, not to pile on at all, but quite frankly I'm astounded that you would have the temerity in a Time of WAR- to make the statements you did. To issue opinions about both the president as well as his strategy, neither of which you know anything of is not only foolhardy but in this time.. it is treasonous. i don't say that lightly. fez made an excellent point tonight..people like yourself as well as your opposites- the peaceniks ( who make inane statements like, "America has done the same thing to other countries!") may not intend any harm-but, indeed, you are doing a great deal of harm to the fabric and morale of a coutry that is in WAR. a country that needs to be unified. to serviceman who, as I type this are being sent off in ships to defend your rights, my rights... Our Rights! and how dare you! President George W Bush has made it clear that this will be a comprehensive, sustained campaign against multiple targets in multiple countries. President George W Bush has dedicated the entire tenure of his presidency to the Obliteration of Terrorism off of the face of the planet. As Dan Rather Just said on David Letterman {God Bless David Letterman}...wars are won on 3 things: "fire power, will power and staying power!" Hanger-On Registered: Jan. 70 | well i may agree yes we didn't get castro but castro didn't make manhatten look like beirut. Let's remember the times when american soil is threatened by a foreign threat we have always made our point not to fuck with us. Even the greatest champ gets tested time to time. Revolutionary war we proved out point that british were not welcome on our soil. Civil war well that was a point to ourselves, lol. Then the japanese at pearl harbor, i think we all know what happened there. But i am secure in GW especially after todays speech this is a man of action from what i see. As far as castro in cuba for us to invade cuba while it posed no threat would have put us in a god forbis nuclear war with russia. I agree yes we did not finish the job with hussein but trust me this will not be pretty nor fun to watch. All i wanna know is will people change their minds after the first strike? This like vietnam will be played out on our television sets will people's thirst for revenge and for the betterment of society disappear after the first missle, or bomb or shot? Let this mob not be as fickle as the roman army was.
