You know what Sweet, its people like you that I can't stand. You had a great time with your boyfriend on this vacation, why not be happy about it?? Long distance relationships are hard, but geez, to bitch about something so petty is ridiculous. It's not like you didn't get to see the guy. Sorry the little thing called terrorism rained on your parade. But give me an f-ing break, why not think of the people that will never get to see their boyfriends/girlfriends/husbands/wives/kids...etc again? You are the type of person I would not surround myself by, self-centered and negative thoughts are not becoming characteristics. Granted you showed some efforts of support as to what happened, but your first FU was just plain wrong, especially coming onto a message board where most of the members are from the east coast and i know plenty of people that have lost someone, or knows someone that lost someone last week. You are like a bad comic that fails to realize, that its all in the delivery and timing. To quote a friend of mine from here boo-fucking-hoo.


on a side note, i know i posted an fu that had nothing to do with what went on last week, and was about my personal life but i did not in anyway try to downplay what happened last week and blame it for my problems. Just had to get that out of the way because i could see that tasteless argument coming my way

GRK......I NEVER downplayed the suffering that people all over and esp. in NYC had...I just made a post..albeit very bad timing I agree..but too tell me that I'm not a caring person is wrong..Jeff, I have learned my lesson and I do wholeheartedly apologize if I offended everyone. You guys, I don't mean to step on any toes here & don't fucking start with me for what i am about to say because i have been through a lot this week & am in NO MOOD for crap...
But... just chill... maybe the poor thing wanted to have her boyfriend around.. Your point doesn't always come across clear when you are writing.. ESPECIALLY after a week such as this..
By no means is this an excuse to *lessen* the severity that happened in this city, but you have remember it is VERY DIFFERENT for people in other states--ACROSS the country. They don't LIVE it the way we do in the city.
I don't think she meant any disrespect.. she was just venting her frustration... leave her alone already...
we had enough anger & sadness... we don't need to be fighting amongst ourselves..
Just my opinion.
Don't give me shit for writing this because I HAVE lost friends.. PEOPLE I LOVE, lost the ones closest to them... I will NEVER forget what happened last week. I'm devistated for life.

I have to agree with Caz.
We are all affected by this in a profound way. Even the simple everyday events and routines that we used to take for granted have changed. It will take a long time to adjust to that. I think this is the point that Sweets was trying to make. Unfortunately, I think her post may have been ill-timed, and poorly worded, but I don't think she meant to trivialize what has happened.
