| O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | um john, the reason why jews eat only kosher foods in only kosher restaurants is because that's part of our religion. it says in our torah, that we should eat kosher foods, and it goes into alot of detail as to what exactly is kosher food. it's not because we're better or have to be seperate from anyone else. it's the religion. i'll admit to not knowing alot about catholicism, but i do know about my religion, a little more than you do. i have never been to a kosher restaurant that didn't allow someone from another religion into it. the reason that you started this thread was because you're ignorant when it comes to other countries outside the us, and you feel that the us shouldn't give a fuck as to what happens with israel and the palestinians. well, just a little news from israel, yesterday a man dressed as an israeli soldier went into a bus station, similar to the port authority in ny, and started shooting, injuring 15, and killing 3. in israel they continue on as if nothing happened. but when on weds a man slit the throat of a grayhound bus driver, the gray hound stopped all bus service for quite sometime. how then can you say that the israelis don't understand what happened in america. these attacks occur daily there. read the paper and watch the news, then post. Many people wonder if God created man, or if man created god; that however is a discussion worthy of its own thread. Many of the jewish laws have/had some common sense to them. Pork - high Trichonosis chance. Kosher animals must be killed in one blade cut; shooting an animal makes it not kosher. This is obviously a concern to be humane. there is lots of cleaning involved - obvious health issues. (This doesn't mean other religions don't have practices beneficial to people) Also, I believe one of Ossama's biggest problem with US is it's stationing of troops in the holy land (Saudi Arabia). | ||||
