| Psychopath Registered: Nov. 00 | Hey everybody, I was at the Soundtigers-Wolfpack game last night (Soundtigers are the Isles' affiliate and the Wolfpack are the Rangers') and the Soundtigers crushed them 6-2. Watch out for Justin Mapletoft, a center for the Soundtigers. He scored 3 goals. Unfortunately, he is playing for the affiliate of a team with 2 of the game's best centers, so maybe he will get moved if he is promoted to the Islanders. Also, DiPietro sat last night in favor of Steve Valiquette, who is quite a player himself. Each of them were among the game's 3 stars and I'm proud to say I voted for them. It's about time the Isles got an affiliate of their own, rather than sharing the Chicago Wolves or Lowell Lock Monsters. If any of you are willing to travel to the Bridgeport area, I highly suggest seeing the Soundtigers. The new arena is beautiful and the tickets are pretty cheap. Islanders have Mike Milbury from Bruins and the man knows his hockey. He is good at rebuilding with no $$$ since he started under cheap ass owner Jeremy Jacobs with the Bruins. Francine you are distracting me from keeping my mind on sports! Devils are struggling right now but you are right, they are the team to beat! | ||||

My friend lives in that area and raves about the Sound Tigers and the New Haven Knights. | Psychopath Registered: Nov. 00 | We shouldn't be disappointed about this loss. The Red Wings are supposed to be the best team in the NHL on paper and we nearly beat them WITHOUT OUR CAPTAIN. We are still in for a great season. Bring on the Flyers, we will take them down. This was my first AHL game, and it's a very intimate experience, especially in Bridgeport. I was in the press box and I still felt like I was right in front of the action. | O&A Board Regular Registered: Aug. 00 | oh well, maybe i did jinx them - on to carolina now. i heard it was a good game last night tho (had hockey practice) - i came home and called up the broadcast online and heard yashin's shot and yzerman's goal. needless to say i was pretty upset, but i'm glad they got the point out of the wings. as for ahl action, i'm hoping to get some of my friends together to go to a manchester monarchs game - the new ahl team here in new hampshire. they are the kings affiliate, and because the kings have goalie depth, stephane fiset is playing w/ the monarchs right now! talk about a good autograph opportunity.
