I was as disgusted as everyone else when I read Froy's post that board members were being harassed and it really made me stop and realize what was going on. while i condemn that type of shit, that's easy..i had to realize that that type of shit starts with the same type of generalization/reductionism that i, myself was guilty of. i still feel that anyone who has harassed a board member, verbally through emails and aim's should be dealt with immediately. but for generalizing- i SHOULD APOLOGIZE to EVERYONE. damn, i couldn't believe it when i read that thread..and I just had to step back. just because i didn't do the specific acts froy referred to doesn't mean i'm not guilty of other things. and i have been dragging the board down by posting hate against arab nations. I tried to qualify it by differentiating between arab americans and arabs in the 'rest of the world' or arabs on 'visa's ', but that's a false distinction. in reality, JUST like many american people did to japanese during WW II and how we felt to Russians during the cold war..during this new War on Terrorism..I was generalizing..whether i wanted to admit it or not. The funny thing is- outside of like 20 people at my job and my family- this board seems to be the only place where I find people that have been as disturbed, broken and shaken by the events on 9/11 as i am. so. again, I'm sorry for bringing the board down, I've apologized to any I might have offended..AND TO ANY SCUMBAGS THAT HAVE BEEN HARASSING BOARD MEMBERS..FUCK YOU..I HOPE YOU HAVE THE SAME TREATMENT RETURNED TO YOU! edit: removing sigpic This message was edited by ThatTerribleAwfulNegro on 9-15-01 @ 7:31 AM Let's Be Clear: I RESENT YOU SAYING THAT I SAID ALL ARABS WERE TERRORISTS! What I did say, and I have to take accountability for that was that all foreign nationals here on a Visa from arab countries that sponsor or harbor terrorists should be deported..and I was WRONG for that blanket statement..and I admitted that already! not because all arabs were evil but because we obviously have quite a few enemies here on american soil that we freely admitted and gave access to our technology and training that they took advantage of and used against us!!!!! we have to do something about that! but my initial suggestion was far too blanket a suggestion and i do see that. we still need a general change though in many things: including aviation security and general immigration policies: not specific to arabs!  9 - 11 - 01...Never Forget | ||||

No No No No. That's a huge no-no. It is not condoned. It is not acceptable. and if you commit suicide, in any form, you do not get a religious burial. You are condemned to hell. I believe this belief exists in Christianity and Judaism as well. Please correct me someone if I'm wrong. Jihad - Holy War. A Jihad is a war that is declared because a country or a religious faction declares war on you because of your religion. If they invades your homeland and oppress you because of religion, that is grounds for a JIHAD. The Spanish Inquisitions would be a perfect example. I asked my cleric about this. What Bin Laden is doing has no grounds by the definitions given in the Koran. Matyr - A martyr is someone who dies in war defending his homeland or his people. In Islam, he is given full rights to enter heaven without question. As for Bin Laden and his boys, there were reports that they were at strip clubs drinking up a storm a day or two before the bombing. A few had American girlfriends that helped them find their ways around the country. If these guys were so "religious" in their intent, they broke several rules - premarital sex, drinking, etc..... It's not my place to question the level of their religious beliefs but I can't believe that these people who did this in the name of GOD had such high religious convinctions. There are millions of other threads on commenting on what to do so I'll stick to it's original purpose. Suicide bombing allowed in Islam? Suicide is strictly condemned and killing innocents is as well. These bombers are conditioned to think that these people are not innocent.
