| O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | ashley i've gotten that number from various news sources. they have received close to $30 billion and all arafat has done with this money was build a casino in jericho and a university in ramalla where many of the terrorist attended. he has not helped his people to live better lives. they live in shitholes, and they blame israel for being poor. well, they have pleanty of money that they don't have to live the way they do. but arafat knows that if he gives them money, then they won't look all that pathetic on the news. poor palestinians, bull shit. just on the side, there was an israeli news source, (and i will try to get the article later) from aug, i believe, that said that arafat and bin laden had met to "discuss things". well, as un-american as i seem to be, i believe that was another red flag going up that perhaps something might occur. if we simply look back in history, arafat hated americans "until" sept '93, and he was involved in the '93 bombing of the wtc. he loved to hijack planes, boats, ships, anything. but here we blame israel becuase as john claims they don't know what america is going through. but obviously, i can't change anyone's mind here on the board. so yes tfec and goer, i do suck, and i am not american because i find fault in this country, whatever that means. | O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | am, i am all for palestinians attending university, until last sept, many o them attended bar-ilan and hebrew universities. however, it has been noted that arafat opened this universaity in ramalla, and almost all of the suicide bombers that have blown themselves up for "allah" have attended it. it makes me think that yes maybe there are courses on how to distroy israel and all western civilizations are taught there. injured palestinians are still brought to israeli hospitals for treatment because they don't have any of there own. if they indeed want a palestinain state, don't you think a hospital is important?? that should have been the first thing built. i don't think that israel is perfect. but israel only defends itself. if they are attacked they fight back. if they know of an attack before it happens, they will do their best to protect itself. Check it out: USS Liberty Although very few people know about this atrocity, this is just one of the reasons I have a problem with Israel, which was the whole point of this thread. Your attitude towards Israel and having loyalty to it over America, especially now, is the reason I have a problem with you. You have yet to make any valid points rebutting issues that people on this board have brought up adressing why there is anti-Israeli sentiment. These are valid issues, and all you keep spewing is "I love Israel more than America and Palestinians are the bad ones." You are perfectly willing to enjoy the privliges and oppurtunities available to you in this country, and are not willing to return anything to it - not even loyalty in a time of crisis. If Israel is so perfect, why aren't you in school there? As I said before, there is no perfect country, America included. This country has many faults and I have problems with quite a few things that we do , or do not do, such as never holding Israel accountable for an attack in international waters that killed 34 serviceman. And make no mistake about it- that was a attack, not an accident as they claim. You, however, are refusing to accept, or even address that there are many good Americans that have valid issues with Israel and our realtionship with it. I'm sure you will take what has been said in this post and all the ones similar to it and add fuel to your little fire and and feel even more justified in the mantra that I'm sure you have: "Poor us. We're so persecuted. Everyone picks on the Jews." Continue to live in your ignorant, narrow little world, and enjoy your life in Israel. I'm sure it will be sooooo much better. | O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | you want me to back up my statement. i was in israel this past march for 2 weeks. durring those 2 weeks. there was a closure on all the palestinain cities, and there was quiet. no bombings, shootings, nothing. the night before i left, at mid-night, the prime minister reopened the palestinian cities. less then 5 hours later, 3 israelis were killed. why then should i give a shit as to what is writen from a palestinian point of view. the roads were then closed to the israeli drivers, not the palestinians. it took me over an hour longer to get to the airport because of this. Everyone is quick to point out Palestinian racism but in Israeli news there are constant quotes that they "Kill all Arabs" and to "Get rid of the Palestinians." Is there Palestinain racism? Yes that is undeniable as well but let's not be one-sided about it like the media. If Israel moved out of the occupied territories I can guarantee you that most of the violence will stop. As for Israeli clothes. Are you kidding me? I thought all those clothes were made in third-world countries where labor is cheap.
