I don't know... but if that's the case, then maybe it's a good idea to take a step back, identify those things, separate them.. and confront them specifically. I know in the past I've treated people badly... at times just because I didn't give a shit... but other times because I genuinely cared, but some other force or factor in my life was just making me a miserable prick. You CAN'T beat yourself up over the way you feel or act sometimes... to do so will only make it worse. Try to justify how you've acted, try to realize what you did and why you did it, and hopefully you can nab it the next time. And when I say justify, I don't mean to find a reason that made it the right or appropriate action.... I mean just find the reason or cause... no matter what the consequence was.... right or wrong. Identifying those things makes it easier to catch yourself the next time. Seems like you genuinely care about this guy... and at times those kinds of people are few and far between.. but because you are so close to them they often bear the brunt of other factors in your life, no matter how much they do or don't have to do with them. You dig? I don't know how close I am to what your deal may be... perhaps I'm completely off the mark, but I tried. So if I can offer some fatherly advice... stop being such a cunt! (Just kidding) :) (My father said that to me when I was just a wee lad... and look how I turned out!) Hope you feel better. xo
