Psychopath Registered: Dec. 00 | Giants 1st offens and defense looked very strong agaist the Ravens yesterday. Will Allen needs some more work. Looks like special teams are still a weak point. Overall I'm pretty confident the Gaints can make another run barring injuries. As we saw yesterday, team depth is a problem. It also looks like the replacement refs really suck. This is going to be a very big issue after they blow some big calls next week. "Cry havoc...and let slip the dogs of war!"

O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | i dont know which game u were watching yesterday, but the replacement refs did a pretty damn good job for their first NFL game. As for the actual game, who cares? Its preseason, a chance to weed out the 2nd stringers from the 3rd stringers. Yeah, our depth kinda sucks, but dont forget, we were playing the defending world champs...they have some highly touted people on their depth chart.

Psychopath Registered: Sep. 01 | Maybe it was the fact that the NFL advised coaches and players to take it easy on the rep-refs, or maybe it was that the game went by so smoothly that the refs didn't need to do much, but on Thursday night's Jets-Eagles game, I did not see a single play where the refs blatantly screwed up. Having good refs is more important in Football than say Baseball, whose umpires went on strike about a year ago, but in no way should refs think that they are bigger than the game and do such a thing. In fact it appears that the NFL is willing to last it out with these subs. I didn't watch the Giants game, so I don't know what that guy was talking about, but I haven't heard much about bad calls and hope for the game's sake, that they don't.

What I did see was: I saw Sharper jump the snap count several times before they finally caught him. An obvious block in the back on a return that sprang J.Lewis for a decent gain. A decent amount of holding by both O-lines that was not called. But as I reflect after what Cluster F and NASA wrote, they were Ok for their 1st crack at the NFL. You have to admit, though, that people will be hyper-critical if any big calls are blown by the refs. That's all I'm saying, if you think about it, really . . . I am a die hard Giants fan but, this is going to be a tough game. Opening day at a visiting teams new stadium. The crowd is going to be crazy. opieanthony.com; Like a retarded yoyo, you will keep coming back.

If the Giants end up losing, the fucking Arizona Cardinals will be in first place in the division! "In the beginning the Universe was created. O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | I am the hugest fan of the G-MEN, and of course i will be rooting my ass off tonight, but, realistically, we have everything against us tonight. First game in Denver's new stadium, in front of a national audience just waiting for the Giants to fold, and the Broncos have nothing to lose, since they are playing the defending NFC champs. That being said, i think this game will be the game of the week, as long as we get out to a quick lead.

O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | whichway, the refs did not blow that game for the giants, the giants did. Look at Denver lost 2 timeouts for challenges and the one where the Giants scored the touchdown did look like he touched the line. So the calls were defintely even.

O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | Very solid performance today by our G-MEN, although we couldnt seem to put the ball in the end zone much. Collins was pretty suspect today (underthrowing a wide open Toomer for a tocuhdown that instead was an INT), but they did enough to win. Our defense was kind of in the bend but dont break mode at times, but dominating at others. 1-1 is good enough for me right now. Unfortunately, the schedule will get tougher, but we can deal with it.

Psychopath Registered: Jan. 01 | Huge road non-division win yesterday. To go 1-1 in Denver on monday night opening up their new stadium and in KC, that aint that bad. Even the most optimistic of Giants fans couldn't have expected them to win both games. Actually this is probably the toughest chunk of the schedule, maybe not anymore since we dont play GB till the end. But to open up with denver, GB, KC, and No, that's not that easy. Can't wait to rack up the wins against the rest of their pathetic division.
