| O&A Board Regular Registered: Aug. 00  | If anyone here was at the game, share thoughts on the ceremony for Trotts. From the pics I've seen so far it looks like it was cool, typical but nicely done. As for the game, I was at some bullshit all morning and afternoon for school, so I again missed the radio broadcast, but I'm glad they got the point. They just gotta learn to keep the puck out of their zone w/ under 10 seconds left :p Oh well, as stated - still unbeaten in regulation. And now they have a week off, geez, what am I gonna do? | Psychopath Registered: Nov. 00 | I couldn't watch the game, I don't get Fox Sports Net. Can you believe Cablevision wants $12.50 a month for Fox Sports Net ALONE??? With a parent company like that, it's no wonder I'm an Isles/Nets fan. Ziggy, thanks for standing up for the Coliseum. Those who bashed it obviously haven't had any bad experiences there. It's a great arena, (And this is coming from someone who's been treated like a king in the Air Canada Centre's Press Box,) but it needs a facelift. I'll defend the Coliseum to the death, but there's no denying the fact that improvements must be made. Should we tear it down completely? Not necessarily. In fact, most of the Coliseum's problems are not the arena itself, rather the area. It needs better transportation nearby and more attractions around it. Wang is trying to get something set up where the Coliseum would have a train station or monorail and a convention center in Uniondale. Unfortunately, the County legislature isn't quite as enthused. Hopefully, I can see this idea approved before I go to college. | O&A Board Regular Registered: Aug. 00 | a season sweep of the canes would definitely be nice joint, we can only hope. i'm actually looking forward to sunday's game against the stars - not only to see (hear) turgeon on the island once again, but to see what they can do against another of the "powerhouse" teams in the league. keep it up! btw, if anyone saw the chat w/ parrish on espn.com the other day, that was some good stuff, he talked about the team chemistry and how they're all becoming a tight-knit group and stuff. sounds like everything's coming together.
