Shutout again today. Whats that 4 times??? And if not for a 2 out error against Cincinnati, it would be 5 Times!! Not to mention they went 10 Innings in a Game to beat Atlanta 1-0, so that would have been 6 Times!!! Cincinnati hasnt been shut out in 2 years!!! This team is a joke!!! Bring back Vince Coleman and Bobby Bonillla, and Dallas Green while your at it. | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | The mets are in a desperate stituation at this point. Leiter is on the DL for 15 days. Trachsel is should be sent to Triple-A. Alfonzo wasn't able to hit a beach ball early on, but seems to be coming out of it now. Ventura has disappeared. He hasn't played in a while. There are definately some question about the bullpen. Overall, they are really in a deep funk, and its worse than the smell that comes from Staten Island. Let's see if they can wake the fuck up. Tomorrow is a huge game. We need to have Glendon Rusch pitch a good game. What a bunch of bullshit that Wendell got thrown out and the Cards have hit 4 batters while the Mets have hit none, and the Cards didnt have anybody get thrown out. But if we take this we will get 2 out of 3 there, and then hopefully we take 4 out of 6 from Houston and Arizona. Incidentally, looking forward to Friday at Shea. Randy Johnson vs. Rick Reed. Should be a good one. If the Knicks arent playing a Game 5 that night, I plan to be there. | ||||

They've always started out the first 40 games or so slowly.. This year they're just starting a little more slowly.. At least Trachsel pitched very well and gave the Mets a chance. Who knows what they will get tomorrow, it already doesnt look good with a Starting Pitcher named Dickey going tomorrow. The Redsox and BlueJays are playing well now, but lets see where they will be later in the season. Here's how I would rank the 10 Teams in Order that are in the NL and AL East. 1. Yankees 2. Mets 3. Braves 4. Redsox 5. Bluejays 6. Phillies 7. Marlins 8. Expos 9. Orioles 10. Devil Rays The 2 worst teams are in the AL East. And the Mets are not in Last Place, they are tied for Last Place, and How Many Games Back are the Mets of 2nd Place?? A Grand Total of 1/2 Game. And they are 4 1/2 out of first behind the Phillies, a team that will be LUCKY to win 80 games. | ||||
