| O&A Board Regular Registered: Aug. 01  | That was definatley the worst Isle performance this year. I listened to the game on radio. I couldn't hear the crowd at all after the 4th goal, complete silence. Osgood let in some bad goals, he could have played better. There's like 3 more meetings this year. They'll have many more battles like this. | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Aug. 01 | Well, the boys play the Habs today. Some people are predicting a tight game or even tie. But I think it'll be an easy Isle win, the Isles have the best road record (7-1-0).The Islanders website hasn't mentioned who's starting in goal today. They are projecting Osgood, but my god, he deserves a rest. | Psychopath Registered: Jan. 01 | Isles need to bring up Mezei & Torres. Isles have 4 very good defensman, 3 now with Martinek out for about a week or 2. Cairnes is big, but he's a good & Sutton just plain sucks. I liked the way Mezei played when he was up last year, he's got nice size also 6'4 228 and this guy can HIT, Mezei should be called up from bridgeport no question about it. As for Torres, Lindgren is just useless. Lindgren just doesn't danything on the ice he hasn't fucked up yet, but he doesn't do sht either. Torres is 6 ft 218, good skater, good hitter & he has done very well in the minors & in juniors . Put Torres on the a line with Scatchard & Kvasha, yoou have 3 BIG guys on one line that can not only HIT, but become a good scoring line along with Izzy-Yashin-chow (which was put back together in montreal) and the Lucky 7's Bates-Peca-Parrish. | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Aug. 01 | Well, I'm quite happy with the decision tonight. The Isles should have taken advantage of a weak Pens team, but couldn't. I think the Rangers are tied with the Isles now. On the bright side for Isle fans, Mark Parrish extended his point streak. | ||||

| O&A Board Regular Registered: Aug. 00 | rage, good job on your stats - yes the rangers are tied, unfortunately they're ahead at the moment due to the fact that they have 1 more victory (in 3 more games, but i guess that doesn't matter). also parrish is up to 12 now on his point streak. was also good to see izzy finally hitting the net, as well as chow. overall, i can't see how they could not only give up a 3-1 lead, but to give it up to ONE FRIGGIN PLAYER! that was a tad embarrassing. but other than that, hey, at least it was a point, and snow did a good job from what i gather. let's hope this stuff continues and they get back on track. The Cup Champs are doing brutal and these are the kind of games that the Isles need to take advantage of. | ||||

I should have putten weakened because they are weakened without the presence of Forsberg, and the retired Bourque. I dought they will win the Northwest Division. The Flames are kicking serious ass this year and the Oilers have beaten the Avs 2 times this year already, but of course that doesn't really mean anything this early in the year. Tonight sucked - I missed the first goal, but apparently a softie let in by Ozzie, the only friggin puck that went in all god damn night. They gotta start scoring again like they did the first few weeks. Parrish's streak is now over at 12, the longest this season, but no longer. If he can start putting a few more in the net, and chow and peca can back him up w/ a few of their own, then things might get back to normal.
