They aren't great but i feel like we have the tools but never seem to be on the same page at the same time. This year has been a complete disaster. If this was 1977, and Lenny Randle was our thirdbaseman, I would be thrilled to be 12 games out. I had a life size poster of him in my room (i was 12, thus then, it was okay) and his baseball cards plastered all over my room.. I still have all of my bb cards in a box somewhere and haven't seen them in years, but if i remember correctly, i had something like 70 Straw cards... Lenny Dykstra was a close second... | O&A Board Regular Registered: Dec. 00 | Besides Howie Rose, how does that differ him from anybody else. Seaver, Kiner, Thorne, and Healy all suck ass. Here's a Great Line by Seaver yesterday in the 9th Inning. 0-0 game. Top of the 9th. Perez on 1st. Piazza is up. Perez goes to steal and Seaver is saying how it is a good move because even if Perez gets caught you have Piazza leading off the next inning, so they have nothing to lose. 1) There was 1 out not 2. 2) It was the 9th F'n Inning. Meaning that there may not be a Next Inning for Piazza to lead off!!!, In which there wasnt. 3) Even if their was another inning, Do you really want Piazza as your Leadoff Hitter?? They are all horrible on TV, except Rose. | ||||

| Psychopath Registered: Oct. 00 | Howie Rose is a great commentator and I think that he and Fran Healy make a good team. Gary Thorne is also pretty good. I think Keith Hernandez and Tom OK Terrific are the worst announcers I have ever heard. They make no sense. Seaver never make any relevant comments on the game as FB said. Hernandez may be good one day after he learns more about being a broadcaster but he has to stop talking about himself so much. Nobody gives a shit how he would prepare for a game. Kiner is old and sound hammered. I heard him and Harry Carry tell a story the other day about them tag teaming some bimbo in the hotel room. It was great. Hey, wait a minute, was that on WFAN? Fuck, I think it was Ant and Jay Mohre. Mark Johnson is a nice addition to the lineup. He has some pop.
