For now, find something you want to do and take steps to be able to do it. Get yourself out there and try a bunch of things. Go to college, get a job...just do something. I would look to invest in mutual funds, stocks and start looking to putting a shitload of money away for the future. I started at 25 and I wish now my mindset then was such that I had started earlier. There are two things that cannot be replaced:People and Time. Use both to your advantage and retire when your 50. It will come sooner than you think.

| O&A Board Veteran Registered: Sep. 00 | I know the feeling. Not everyone makes something of their lives, very few people do. We all can't be special or important because than we aren't special or important. We want to be popular, liked, rich, famous, worth something, have a good job that you enjoy and some recognition. Chances are it won't happen. Few people ever experience it in their entire lifetime let alone at 20. Some people look at their station in life and say "I want to be published," "I want to make a movie," "I want to have a band" and try to do it knowing very well they might fail. Others yearn for something better yet are resigned to their life as a cubical dweller, an office drone. They don't want to shake things up because they are so content, maybe content isn't the word, in their little box that they just sit there and go day by day. sometimes planning on working on their dreams, their chance at greatness, just doing their job until they can make enough to totally concentrate on their Great AMerican Novel. Day by day goes by and soon enough life is wasted but a nice pine box is put to use. There is a difference between having a bleak future and not having a future at all Unicron. Have you any goals, any dreams, anything you want to accomplish? 20 is still young, 20 still isn't a legal drinking age. You have time to make something of yourself. Unless you die. | Psychopath Registered: Apr. 01 | Unicron, I know exactly how you feel. I had all these expectations for my life and I've accomplished very few of them. I know I'm only fifteen but I was supposed to be a well known actress by now. I know the chances of that happening are slim to none but it's all I've ever wanted my entire life and right now I feel like my life is a complete waste for not doing anything worth while. I was bitching about this last night to someone and they gave me a lot of good advice. One of the things they told me was that I can't just sit around and wait for things to happen, I need to earn what I want. I don't want to one day wake up famous and have done nothing to get myself there. I want to know I belong there. So hopefully one day my hard work will pay off, as will yours. Whatever you do don't give up on yourself. Cheer up :) Best of luck to you in the future and happy birthday! tired moments into pleasure. Say the word and we'll be well upon our way.
