Psychopath Registered: Feb. 01	I realize radio is a business that rests on the shoulders of advertisers. I realize radio stations have formats and they always apply to that format. But fuck any radio station who cares more about playing their spots and get their advertisers' names out than trying to give information and sincerity to the people they hawk their products to. Some situations call for the delay of business in respect to lives lost and the seriousness of the situation. This crisis is indeed that sitation. Something this horrific happens once in a lifetime (if even that) and our world will forever be changed, but these scumbags think airing news clips over a song is some kind of dedication. Well, it's not, it's a way for people to listen long enough to sell a product. I know it may sound cynical but when the whole idea of a media is to sell products, cynicism is an easy choice. I feel this way about some TV stations too, but I feel more like this about radio. Radio is used as an intimate voice for people whereas television is the running of taped programs. Radio is expected to be more personal but it hasn't been today (with the few notable exceptions). Today radio stations were shown their true colors, whether they be about the emotions and feelings of the people affected by this time of chaos, or about the money. And I think we all can agree playing a spot for a piece of shit no one would buy is more important than the listener's feelings and the thousands upon thousands laying dead in debris. Right? "THE CAR HAD A SIGN THAT SAID CRITTERS OF HOLLYWOOD, YOU DUMB FUCK!!!"
