It's never taken me more than a month to find a new job( on the few occasions when I had to). I've always said there are plenty of jobs out there for people who WANT to work. Most people are just too fuckin picky. | Psychopath Registered: Mar. 01 | I don't see any problem with someone going on unemployment if they're eligible- you have to pay the unemployment tax, it's silly not to collect it if you can. And it definitely can be hard finding a job in any field. Sometimes it's just bad timing. As long as you're out there bustin your ass and looking, all the power to ya. What I can't stand are people like I've known in the past who bitch that they can't pay the rent or they're going to lose their car, etc., but refuse to take jobs in restaurants or retail shops and things like that to earn a check because it's too low for them. It's better than being homeless, dumbass!! On another note, the City's organizing a huge job fair at MSG sometime soon, but I missed the date on the news. I was "FUing" the people out there who do look down on them. I knew a kid who dropped out of college rather than take the part-time job he could've used to meet the rest of his tuition. "I can't stand customers," he said, or something like it. And PB, don't tell me what I meant, and I don't think I said that. I think you're reading way too far into what I wrote. Where did I say that people shouldn't want a career? Like Av8er's last comment, these people need to compromise within themselves to stay afloat until they get their career. Just my opinion, though.
