O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | Jesus fucking Christ! How is it that you can charge me, and millions of others MORE money than your competition for the same stinking service and still manage to go belly up? "Well will make sure you are credited for loss of service" No shit Sherlock, you really didn't expect me to pay for a craplousy modem that isn't actually connected to anything did you? "We will be providing a dial up back up service in the event of any service interruption" Do you fuckers realize how much abuse I would take if I even attempted to play AOC on a fucking 56k modem, connected at best at a whopping 33.6? Do I look like a patient fucking individual? Who in their right mind thinks I would be able to sit here and wait ten minutes for a fucking 8 page thread to load? You fucking crack dealing, junkie makers! I can not go back to dial up. Where the fuck is Johnny Cochran to help me sue for my right to fast fucking gaming? I promise you.... if I spend one minute listening to the obnoxious sound of a modem dialing out from my home, there will be hell to pay. Where's my fucking bell tower? What are you looking at?

O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | It's amazing how in the last month, they raised our bill by seven bucks, and suddenly they're going down the shitter, and giving us two wonderfully generous days' warning about it. You can be certain that Verizon will experience a major boom in their DSL market because of this bullshit. Most people don't realize how much slower DSL is - to them, high-speed is high-speed - so they'll make the switch. It's a guarantee that if they disrupt service even a LITTLE bit, they'll have less customers to show for it once it's back online. All I can say to the fuckers is that they better friggin' fix the situation BEFORE tomorrow's over. "Miracles and lucky charms made the girl of my dreams the girl in my arms." - Dr. Frank

It really must fucking suck for you to return to using a modem. (ugh) If you can try direcTv DSL. It might be the trick.

Psychopath Registered: Jun. 01 | The cable companies are, at least, trying like mad to get their own infrastructures up and running. Comcast is actually one of the better ones. I hear a variety of stories on how long service could be down, but the bottom line is this just SUCKS BALLS! At least this is a temporary thing, I mean no one gets a cable modem because of the exciting @Home and Excite features, we just want the fat pipe. Well the cable companies want to keep bringing that to you. This is a profitable, growing sector for cable companies, and they'll do their best not to piss their customers off. At least this is what I tell myself prior to being out of commission for a while, then I'll just go into the fetal position. Thank you to all the brave volunteers who brought us all together as a country, and thank you to those of you brave soldiers who will fight and have fought for our country. We are a free people because of your efforts.

Psychopath Registered: Jun. 01 | quote: How funny is that when you take it completely out of context? This really sucks for alot of people. I really don't think DSL will do it for people who have gotten used to the speed of cable. Cable really is the way to go. On a side note has everyone seen the massive push for XM radio lately? All the ads are starting to look alot like those of the Dish networks, with all the diffrent stations? Opie is on to something here, this looks like it could get huge.
