| Psychopath Registered: Apr. 01  | I did the transition from @home to the comcast network. and I had some complications. I understand that it is a new network but set up the network before you switch people over!!! Since the transition goes from a static IP to a DHCP, some of my programs don't work as well now!! When I get married in March, I will be moving to Brooklyn. So i will have to get dsl there because Cablevision is behind the times. But that's probably because I never installed the bullshit Comcast software that was part of the package. Try to avoid calling Comcast during the day.. the wait is like 1 hour. Well, some helpful info for you guys. A static IP won't work on the . But I did get my VPN and my ZoneAlarm working. after my company's Tech people saying "the VPN won't work with Comcast's new system". so this FU has turn from Comcast to MY COMPANY!!!
