Psychopath Registered: Jan. 02 | Rancid, My mother used to work for Echostar, which is some Dish Network subsidiary or some shit like that. Well, I was going to join one of their plans and she talked me out of it. She said that she hated having to sit there and lie to people about the "great deals" DN was offering. After working there, she vowed never to buy into the satellite dish option. To quote my mother: "If you get it, you're getting ripped off!" I wish I had that bit of info for you before you got the dish. Sorry. O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | I don't know about Dish, but I have Directv. I would not give up satellite for the world. It is so much better than Cablevision. Cable keeps raising prices and gives you less and less programming. Perfect example, the Yankees are no longer on MSG and are on the YES network. Yankees signed a deal with Directv and it is not charging any extra costs (at least right now) for the Yes network. Cable will soon sign a deal, and I guarantee rates will go up, even though MSG network is for shit now. Cable can suck it. And Charles Dolan, thank you fo ruining the Knicks and Rangers | ||||

O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | TW, last I heard was that the YES network was trying to hash out a deal with the cable nets, but they were firm on keeping the channel a "free" channel (not a premium service). Anyone who has cable and doesn't have a hotbox is crazy - they're one of the easiest things to get, especially off the net. Hot sattelite dishes/decoders are next on my list of things to look into. You can reach me through AIM or email. Don't be shy, drop a line and say Hi!
