Hanger-On Registered: Feb. 02	So last year I joined Balley's total fitness. The deal was that I pay full price for two years, and after my two years is up my membership will be $4.50 a month for the duration of the time I want to stay with the club. Which of course is not a bad deal. I ended up paying the two years off up front, on a credit card. A year goes by...Yesterday I go to the gym and have my card swipped, the chick behind the counter tells me my membership has expired and I owe them $40. Now thank god that credit card expired or they would have billed me a full monthly payment, and I probably wouldn't have picked up on it at all. These jizz junkies screwed friends of mine, and now they tried screwing me. Fuck you Balley's!! I curse you Enron style you bastards!!

Psychopath Registered: Jun. 01	Actually if you know how to use them properly (NEVER CARRY A BALANCE) there are plenty of EXCELLENT credit cards out there! Look at Discover Card, they PAY YOU for using the damned thing. One percent doesn;t sound like a lot but it adds up at the end of the year. Then you've got cards with things like air miles and price protection and warranty extention, etc. etc. FU to fitness clubs with scam-based memberships, sure. But credit card companies? To be honest, the realy problem with credit cards are usually the users, not the companies. Thank you to all the brave volunteers who brought us all together as a country, and thank you to those of you brave soldiers who will fight and have fought for our country. We are a free people because of your efforts.

Psychopath Registered: Jun. 01	Balley's is sort of like Cell phone companies, at least in the way they try to rope you into long term committments. Then again at least with cell phones you generally get what was advertised - a wireless communications device. The reports I'm hearing back from Bally's however is that they're not quite like the ads in real life - no hot chicks with super erect nipples riding stairmasters in the desert. Damn! Caveat Emptor.
