First you gave us those stupid ewoks, than jar jar and that disgrace of a movie, Phantom Menace and than you give us this love fest by the geeky WB wannabee. Give us some goddamn violence and show why Vader is the most evil villain in movie history. Dr. Evil from Austin Powers is more credible at destroying the world than Vader is so far. Yes, this one was better, but what wouldn't be compared Phantom Menace. I think the new Pauly Shore movie was better than Phantom. I think Star Wars is very overrated and Lucas sucks as a director and his creativity is shot. Yeah, it is required by law to go see the Star Wars movie, but the funny thing, after I see it once, I never want to see it again. Spiderman blew Clones away. I even liked Insomnia and Sum of All Fears better than Attack of the Clones. So Yes, I will see the next one, because it has been written into the constitution. But tell what trilogy is more interesting right now, Lord of the Rings or this bullshit fest of Star Wars. At least Natalie Portman could have gotten naked and Samuel Jackson could have done his bible toting psycho mother fucker from Pulp Fiction. And yeah, yoda fighting was funny and it was pretty cool, but what is he 1 foot tall. The best part of the movie was in the Coliseum with the Jedis.  | ||||

| O&A Board Veteran Registered: Sep. 00 | I would like to add to this FU by saying FU Lucas for thinking it's a good idea to add Natalie Portman to Episode 6- Return of the Jedi and once again fucking with the classic trilogy for the purposes of more money. He's raping what made star wars good. I still think AotC wasn't that great, it was highly flawed and I couldn't overcome the flaws in order to recommend the movie. I explained a small addition in the star wars thread that I thought would have improved it but whether it would be a 'good' movie I don't know. He really needs to do something major in Episode 3 to get me to like it and just adding numerous CGI shit ain't gonna satisfy me. yes, we see the robots repairing the window- so what? And Lucas isn't even a good director. The final fight sequence(s) could have been made a lot more exciting and better. When all those light sabers just appeared in the audience, it should have floored you, it shouldn't have been something expected. it should have started small and then built up, not all of a sudden there they all are. We shouldn't have seen Windu from the back first, the first indication that he was there should have been the tip of the saber pointed at Dooku's throat. And the Yoda scene, though I did enjoy it, it was obvious that they knew this was going to be the scene everyone talks about, this was going to be the money scene. It was too aware of its coolness which made it less cool than it should have been. Another thing, how come every major plot point brought up in Episode 1 (midichlorians, Anakin's virgin birth) was just left out of this one. And another complaint- they spend a good chunk of this movie doing the love story between Anakin and Padme filling it with the most hackeneyed crappy "love" lines ever written. Of ALL those lines, all those words nothing came close to the one amazing exchange in Empire- "I love you." 'I know.' Those 5 words in Empire said more than 50 minutes of dialogue in Clones.
