O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01	i love when O&A get pissed like this. i think it makes for some great radio. i can't wait until the time comes for them to leave infinity. then they can say whatever they want without restriction. WNEW will get destroyed by them in the ratings, and they can talk about howard as much as they want without being dumped. without O&A, WNEW's got nothing, and they aren't doing anything to mend the situation. Definitely try to put in a clause that says you guys can rant on anyone that you want, including radio edit. And have Infiniti pay a nice little fine to the O+A fund everytime they censor you because of that put in there. If they say no, you can hear them crying when you're "across the street." F loyalty if this is what it gets you. No syndication, censorship while others in the "family" are free to rag on you, no promotions budget, and no guests. Fuck em all

Psychopath Registered: Feb. 01	For selfish reasons, I prefer them in afternoons. I'd never get to listen to the earliest part of their show if they went to mornings. I get to listen to the entire show in afternoons. If they really feel like they need to show crybaby howie aka radio edit they can whoop his ass in the ratings, i'd like to see them go head to head but ultimately the best time for me to listen is afternoons. ________________ Find me a jury... Cons of staying with Infinity: 1. No marketing or prizes whatsoever. 2. Politics and egos of WXRK and Stern 3. WXRK blackmailing booked O&A guests into cancelling 4. Gag order 5. Disappearing prizes (Pontiac Aztek) 6. No syndication ever, Pros of going elsewhere: 1. Syndication - depending on contract - possibly immediately. 2. No gag order (get it in the contract, boys) 3. Possible salary increase, more prizes, better management. Cons of going elsewhere: 1. Starting anew. New station, new boss, new timeslot (possibly), new listeners, uphill ratings battle (again). 2. Staff losses -- perhaps some of the regulars won't switch stations. 3. New politics bullshit. There's always politics. 4. Uncertainty. Hanger-On Registered: Dec. 00	The boys (mainly Opie) are just venting. No way, no how, are they leaving Infinity, or WNEW. Mel K. knows exactly what side of the bread the butter is on. Mel knows without O + A WNEW is a complete failure (if it isn't already). You wait, the old adage will ring true, "mony talks, and bullshit walks", and Mel's got the money to make O + A more than happy. I'm willing to bet cash money the boys stay put, and you'd be an idiot to bet against me.

I am sure Infinity will give O&A whatever they want, salary wise just so they don't go to a competitor. And they will not turn money away... we'll see what happens.
