We might not always understand that or accept it, especially during tough times, but you just have to try and focus on the positive things and wait for the good to come out of your situation. Unfortunately, the loss of loved ones is something we all have to deal with at some point in our lives, and it's even more unfortunate that some are taken away from us way too early. Just remember that something good always comes out of every bad situation, even if it takes longer than expected. Keep your head up. | ||||

| Psychopath Registered: Apr. 01 | i'm so, so sorry. i do know what it's like to loose a family member. what i can tell u is it's very hard the 1st yr (b/c u feel like it's a bad dream,hoping to wake up from) but please remember he's always w/u & that he's not suffering anymore. i lost my sister by someone being in a rush to get home & whats worse is nothing was done abt it & to this day i feel the same way as u. again, my condolences to u & ur family. hang in there, ok? | ||||

| Psychopath Registered: Feb. 01 | Austin, I'm so sorry, man. I am joining you, in a big FUCK YOU TO DEATH this week. Now, in Jefferson City, Missouri, my Aunts, Uncles, & Cousins are standing a Death Vigil for Nan (my Mom's Mom.) She is 79, but it is truly her time to go. The fucked up parts of this are as follows: She has beaten Breast Cancer, Leukemia, Prescription Drug Addiction (F-U TO STUPID ASS, NON-CARING DOCTORS, btw), Measles (in the '50's-a diagnosed as terminal case), and "irreversible" bleeding from her colon, which stopped spontaneously two months ago. Surgery was never an option, it would have killed her. The bleeding and pain started again this Monday, and she has a DNR. As it should be. Go free, clear, and on your own terms, my darling dear. What really sucks is that my Mom & I cannot be there with her to bless her on her journey. I fucking HATE THAT.  I love you, my Nana. | Psychopath Registered: Feb. 01 | I'm bringing this thread back, instead of posting a new one, out of respect to Austin's loss. My Sub-Title: "FUCK YOU TO LOSING COOL GRANDMAS" My last post was on May 30th, during the first Deathwatch. My Nan died today at 12:30 P.M. Which means that the woman who had a DNR order, who had, oh, about 5 death vigils stood over her, took 11 days to die, on heavy Morphine, with no food and almost no water. 1 week ago, she got up out of bed. Fuckin' unbelieveable. She then got on her Sons' cell phone and was able to say good bye to my Mom here in NJ. The woman had brass balls to beat the band. A fighting spirit none could rival, no fear, no bullshit, and enough love to spread around her 3 siblings, 5 children, 8 Grandchildren, & 3 Great-Grandchildren. I love you, my Nana. Wherever, whatever you are now, you are still wonderful. I'm just glad she's with my Grandpa now (I hope, being an Agnostic), and her end was peaceful. | O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | Claire i am sorry for u'r loss. agin i know what you 2 are goin through.my grandmother had pancreatic cancer & it took 7 months for her to just shrivel up from this Jolly old Italian woman to this very sick tiny women. she also was on morphine & @ least your grandmother was able 2 call & say good bye. i @ least had my grandmother living with me so i was able to say good bye that way but it made it all that much harder.
