| Hanger-On Registered: Jan. 70  | FU to the asshole who I work with who threw an insult at my heritage but when I say something back he runs to HR and it looks like I am getting fired. He Says -"Oh your Irish....you look like a lazy drunk" I Say -"Oh your half Jamaican, you must get some good weed." About a month ago after work I said "You boys want to go shoot pool" I was speaking to 2 white people and this guy whop is black. He got offended then and would not speak to me for a week. FU ASSHOLE FOR POSSIBLY RUINING MY WHOLE LIFE. I AM FAR FROM RACIST, IMO YOU ARE AN INSULT TO ALL OTHER BLACKS.  Why dont you people get you own Sig pic...stop using my X symboll | ||||

I don't know what the current accepted term is, but I don't see why there is a need to specify either. I'm not an african-american, never been to africa. I'm not black, my skin is more of a brown. I'm certainly not a nigger. Colored? you turn red when you're angry or embarassed, blue when you are cold, brown when you tan, and you want to call me colored? Just call me by my name and everything will be fine. as for your jamaican incident, his comment was out of line, but your retort was no less out of line.

I was raised to respect all people and never look down on someone over looks or beliefs but I admit I am becoming racist because 80% of your race is holding a grudge on me for shit that happened back in the 1800's. P.S.- my wife is half black which makes my children 25% black so I would never hate anyone over race because then I am insulting the most important people in my life. I have friends... who happen to be african american, or colored, or dark skinned, or whatever you call it. They call themselves black. When I talk about them, I normally call them Glen, Linda, etc. When talking about an individual creating racial strife in a work environment, their color can in a general way, be indicative of their reaction to words and deeds. SOME blacks can over react to words, not even directed at them. I call my white friends boys. In his example, the individual (a black man) in question reacted to him calling white friends boys. I really am trying to not be offensive here, but people like the one in question ( the black guy) do more for racial divisivness, than a white guy calling 2 white friends boys. Know what I mean? Heaaa fishy fishy fishy fishy. And it went, wherever I, did go! | ||||

| Hanger-On Registered: Jan. 70 | what I meant was calling us "blacks" seems very condescending. Maybe black people is better than "blacks"? clumsy, are you my ex-brother-in-law? You see, I'm half Czech and half black. My nephew and my nieces are thus then 1/4 black. Don't pretend to give me a history lesson about black people, I know all about what happened back in the day. And I, am moving on. I don't begrudge white people, if anything I begrudge black people who can't stop using it as a crutch. There is not one reason in today's world that a black man can not accomplish anything a white man can (except getting paid equally and being president, but those are givens ;) ).

| Hanger-On Registered: Jan. 70 | Blue the reason I am taking this attitide to this board is so here in real life I can keep my cool and try to pave this whole issue over. I have nothing against Kid, I am just fed up with this guy I work with. It is getting to the point that I need a politicaly Correct dictionary when speaking with him. He has caused friction with other people I work with over similiar harmless things as well. The sad part is, he grew up in Greenwich CT, his father is a very wealthy doctor. Everything was handed to this guy, he doesnt even need to work. I grew up poor, worked hard to get where I am at, can truely say I am 100% NOT racist and most importantly as I mentioned before, my wife is half black. Now this guy may fuck up my whole entire life if this actually goes anywhere. I do promise if I lose my job I will be sure he loses his as well for what he said to me. Why dont you people get you own Sig pic...stop using my X symboll | ||||
