O&A Board Regular Registered: Jan. 01 | I spent last week in Point Pleasant at the Crystal Point. It's on the river. The place is huge. It's about a 10 minute drive to the beach. But if we were going to a bar at the boardwalk, we took a cab.It cost about $8.00.They have a pool. Also, across the street is a resturant with a huge bar. Also there is a liquor store next door to the restuarant. Psychopath Registered: May. 01 | If you're not picky about the room and just need someplace to crash, there's two other places I can think of in Point Pleasant, but I warn you, they're pretty cheesy. One is Cove Point Motel (or Cove Motel, I'm not sure) on Bay Avenue and the other is Wenkes on Route 88 (this one is really cheesy). There's also a motel on Rt 34 in Wall Twp (don't know the name) and one or two on Rt. 35 in Sea Girt or Spring Lake. Hey wait, why am I giving lodging suggestions to bennies? Oh that's right...because I don't live there anymore! lol :)

You must pass through Wall Twp. to get to parkway they are famous for ZERO tolerance for DWI. Have a fender bender and get charged with criminal vehicular assault, no plea bargains.Plenty of taxi companies... USE THEM!!!!! I'm a local, I KNOW!!!!!

O&A Board Regular Registered: Oct. 00 | I went 2 weeks ago to the Driftwood for a bachelor party. Awesome time. We were hanging out on the beach drinking beers and swimming in the ocean until about 5am.

Psychopath Registered: Feb. 01 | Good luck getting ANYTHING near the beach. You'd be better off trying Sea Girt, Bay Head or any of the nearby towns. If you are lucky to get something near the beach you're gonna pay thru the nose. I spent a weekend there a few yrs ago and it was $300 for two or 3 nights. Maybe get a few friends together and rent a bungalow or something. I was stationed there in the Coast Guard for 2 yrs and there are some really great places to party.
