| O&A Board Veteran Registered: Feb. 01  | Ok, bad news. We can't have the party @ the bar Rob had for us on the 19th. Our only options at that bar are: May 4th/5th and 11th. The 4th & 11th are Fridays, the 5th a Saturday. We need a decision on this immediately. If anyone has a connection for a better date, speak now! | Hanger-On Registered: Jan. 70 | well i agree saturday is a better day cause friday is a work day and people are tired. Saturday people can sleep in and sunday is also a day off for most. As long as the date is out there admission will be posted at a later date. Need to figure out the cost of the night and figure on about 40 people at the least and figure out your mark up. I'd love to help but you all know brooklyn is my only forte. As far as a band i really personally do not think it is a neccesity. It is just an extra cost and we know from the past that we all have fun without it. I say just get a sound system of some sort and we can all bring some mixes. Any moron can change the CD's like a Fuggin Moron for example. | O&A Board Veteran Registered: May. 00 | i can already tell you without a shadow of a doubt that much to my chagrin, i wont be attending the party due to uncontrolled, but understandable circumsances. as a couple of you know, my gf is coming up next week the 22nd from home for 2 weeks. shes going back home on the 6th of may. originally i was planning on attending if the party was on the original night it was supposed to be, namely may 19th but since the change i just cant go. i mean no disrespect to you froy and the rest of the mods and the board as a whole, but with her leaving the next day, we just planned on spending a quiet night alone just enjoying being in each others company. i hope you guys and girls can understand where im coming from here. i was excited to come hang out and meet you guys for the first time. i apologize for this and ill try to make it up some time in the future. again im sorry :( from JFK to al gore. now if thats evolution, in 12 years we are going to be voting for a plant to be president!!!-Lewis Black | ||||
